Beet Carpaccio

Beets Carpaccio is my old time favorite dish whenever I’m hosting. It is beautiful looking and tastes amazing!

Ingredients

6 steamed or fresh beets, thinly sliced

1 fresh beet leave, chopped for garnish

1 lemon, juiced

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

+salt

+pepper

Directions

Take a mixing bowl and add: lemon juice, olive oil, pure maple syrup, salt and pepper to taste. whisk well.

Add the sliced beets and marinate for a few minutes. Take a serving dish and start assembling: place the beets one next to the other, as flat as possible. Pour the rest of the dressing on top, garnish with the fresh chopped beet leave, sprinkle some more coarse salt and serve.
