Cashew Cheese Balls

These cheese balls are great for entertaining. They look pretty, they taste delicious and they are a wonderful subtitute for cheese. They are also excellent as a spread in a sandwich, or on your favorite cracker.

It is also a good subtitute for "white sauce" on your pasta. So many things you can do with this recipe. Be creative and enjoy the flavors.

 

Ingredients:

1 cup raw cashew, soaked for about 2-3 hours or overnight and drained

1 tablespoon white miso 

1 tablespoon nutritional yeast

1/2 teaspoon mustard

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon Sweet paprika

2 tablespoons water

Salt

Pepper

Topping:

Toasted sesame seeds

Nigella seeds

 

Directions:

In a food processor add all the ingredients until it becomes like a paste. Wet your hands and form balls.

Pour sesame seeds into a bowl. Pour nigella seeds into another bowl. Roll the balls into the topping of your liking and serve with your favorite crackers and raw veggies. You can also keep the cheese without forming balls in a container and spread on your favorite bread for delicious sandwiches.
