Favorite Red Pasta

Flavorful red pasta sauce that is so easy, anybody can make it!

In the recipe I roasted the peppers myself, but you can definitely use store-bought roasted peppers.



6 roasted red peppers peeled

1 chopped onion

1 organic tomato sauce 15oz/425g

1 clove of chopped garlic

1 teaspoon olive oil

5 fresh basil leaves 

1 tablespoon agave

2 cups of water

Cooked pasta of your choice



In a non stick pan add olive oil, onion, salt pepper,

Sauté for couple of minutes then add garlic. Continue to sauté for few more minutes.  Pour the onion mixture as well as the peppers, tomato sauce, basil leaves, and agave into a food processor. Mix until smooth. Pour the sauce back into a sauce pan, add water, and bring to a boil. Then, simmer for 15-20 minute to let the sauce reduce. Add some more salt and pepper if needed, and pour over the pasta. Drizzle with some more olive oil and serve.
