First Thing In the Morning: Water! Try My 10-Day Challenge - So Easy with Such Incredible Impact!
A few years ago I made a very simple change to my morning routine.
I used to wake up, get ready for the day and then when it was time for breakfast, I would eat oatmeal with a cup of coffee.
Then, I started a new thing.
I started drinking 16 Oz of water every morning before I do anything else. It became my daily ritual.
I drink slowly and quietly, with no one around. I actually wake up a little earlier for it, so I can be alone without changing my family's morning routine. It's worth it.
This small daily ritual has made a huge difference in my life.
I love drinking cold water (with ice and lemon is my preference). It’s so fresh and clean! I truly feel like it cleans and flushes all the toxins out of my body.
What happened? Things started working better :)
It’s like a morning wake up call for my digestive system, and now my bathroom time comes before breakfast.
Starting the day “clean” feels amazing! Especially for someone who used to struggle with digestive issues.
Plus, drinking water in the morning helps our body re-hydrate after a night sleep, and it starts the process of flushing the toxins out of our body.
It was so easy to adapt this habit and it is so rewarding!
I've made drinking water a habit, not just in the morning, but throughout the day.
I drink water before or after meals. (I don't drink water with my meal as it makes me uncomfortable.)
Plus, I always carry a bottle of water with me and make sure to empty my water bottle a few times a day. It became my habit. Having the water bottle with me means I always have water to drink. It's also a constant reminder to drink, and it keeps me aware of how much I drank.
