Baked Green Apples

Baked apples make the house smell so amazing. The smell of the cinnamon and the vanilla make you want to eat the whole thing. The good thing is that you are actually craving something super healthy and lean, without compromising on the flavor. What a great combination! Great for dessert or for breakfast, cold or warm, alone or with ice cream. The possibilities are endless!

Super easy to make and a great end to any type of meal.

Ingredients:

7 green apples - cored

3/4 cup chopped raw pecans

3/4 cup quick cook oats

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon vanilla sugar

1 cup sweet red wine

Directions:

Heat oven to 350F

Take a baking sheet and line with parchment paper.

In a bowl add pecans, oats, cinnamon, vanilla sugar. Mix well.

Lay the apples on the baking sheet and fill each one with the mixture.

Pour a cup of wine into a glass measuring cup with a tip, so it is easier to pour onto the apples. From there, pour the wine into the center of each apple to keep the oats mixture moist. If you have extra wine just pour on the bottom of the dish.

Bake for about 20 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
