Black lentil hummus

Hummus can be made in so many ways and with different ingredients! I did a spin on the traditional hummus by using black lentils and tahini. The flavor is so delicious! Plus, this hummus is great for entertaining. Yummy on a sandwich, as an appetizer, on a crunchy baguette, your favorite cracker, or getting your kids to eat veggies. 

Super easy to make!



1 cup black lentils

1 cup water


1/2 cup liquid of the lentils to keep after draining the lentils

1 cup tahini paste





In a sauce pan add lentils, water, salt. Cook until tender.

Keep 1/2 cup of the liquid and add to the food processor.

Also add the drained lentils and tahini. Mix it until completely smooth. Pour into a serving bowl.

Enjoy with your favorite crackers or veggies.
