Black lentil hummus
Hummus can be done in so many ways and different ingredients! I did a spin on traditional hummus, and used black lentil and tahini. The flavor is so delicious! Super rich and smooth. Great for entertaining! Great on a sandwich, as an appetizer on a crunchy baguette or your favorite cracker. Great as a dip for vegetables and so on.
Easy to make!
1 cup black lentils
1 cup water
1/2 cup liquid of the lentils to keep after draining the lentils
1 cup tahini paste
In a sauce pan add lentils, water, salt. Cook until tender.
Keep 1/2 cup of the liquid and add to the food processor.
Also add the drained lentils and tahini. Mix it until completely smooth. Pour into a serving bowl.
Enjoy with your favorite crackers or veggies.
